Improve Orange Unified School District

School Safety

Whether it is safely getting to and from school, safety while at school, or a safe environment to learn - our first obligation is to providing our kids with the safety and security to know that they can grow and become tomorrows leaders.

Fiscal Transparency

Our Schools are financed by our taxes, bonds, and contributions. Knowing where and how that money is spent is the first step. Understanding how we can be the best stewards possible of the public trust with the education of our most treasured resource - our children is incumbent upon us to address together.

Community Engagement

Our schools are the lifeblood of our community. We need to work with the businesses, organizations, and resources around us that  make our schools grow and enrich our children's lives. We need to foster those relationships as well as ensure that the connections can cooperate.

Paths to Success

Parent Partnerships

There are many paths to success in life - in a rapidly changing economy with great technological strides occurring, we need to make sure that we are preparing our children for the future they want - and in a way that makes them valuable to society.

Youth Activities

We have an opportunity to expand the choices available to our children that keeps them engaged. Youth Sports, Youth Activities, After School Events, and a variety of community resources exist to engage our children - it is our responsibility to make those opportunities grow so our children can thrive in the things that interest them.

We can not sit back and expect that our schools and our children will succeed without our involvement.  We need to work with our teachers, our classrooms, and ultimately our schools to find solutions for every one of our kids to come away from their time at OUSD and know that they have the tools to succeed - we as parents are responsible for ensuring that success.
